Beginning during her undergraduate studies, Teri Leffler has worked with
autistic children since 2004, and doing so with Bright Futures since 2008. Her
experiences with her clients while completing her undergraduate work steered
her toward a career in helping those with autism achieve their greatest
potential.
Teri completed her undergraduate work at West Virginia State University,
earning a B.S. in Sociology. She is currently pursuing her BCaBA all while
continuing to utilize her unique experiences and expertise in teaching
individuals with autism.

While earning a degree in elementary and special education from
Marshall University, Sarah Dooley began working with students with
autism in 2001. Since obtaining her teaching license in 2006, she has
taught public school students with a variety of special needs at the
elementary and high school levels. She has taught two-year-olds in a
summer preschool, and has served as a lead teacher for middle school
aged students with autism in an applied behavior analysis day school.
Since 2010, Sarah has worked as an ABA therapist with Bright Futures
Learning Services. She is the author of two published novels for
middle grade readers.
During a volunteer program in high school, Christina Scenna first
discovered her aptitude for and interest in working with individuals with
developmental disabilities. She continued to put her skills to use while
pursuing a BA in Sociology from Marshall University by working with children
and adults in group home, community, and natural family home settings.
After graduating Cum Laude from Marshall University in 2008, Christina
began to provide Therapeutic Consultative services through West Virginia’s
Title XIX Waiver program. Since 2009, she has provided consultative and
training services to local teachers, school personnel, parents, and care
takers in basic ABA concepts, as well as behavior support plan
implementation.
Today, Christina is an ABA Therapist with Bright Futures, pursuing her
BCaBA, and working with the Mountaineer Autism Project (MAP).
Kara Martin recently graduated from Glenville State College with a
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Sociology and a minor in Behavior
Disorders. Currently, she attends Marshall University’s Graduate College
where she is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Special Education.
Kara has been working with children affected by autism spectrum disorder for
the past five years. She has been employed as a Respite Provider and ABA
therapist. She first became involved in 2007 and has made this community
her main focus since. She has worked at the Applied Behavior Learning
Center in Charleston and most recently at the Bright Futures summer clinic in
2011.
